“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 Mr. Robert “Piggy” Green, Jr., the son of the late Robert Lewis Green, Sr. and Florence Douglas Green was born on November 15, 1960 in Florence, South Carolina. On Friday, May 13, 2011, he departed this life at his residence. “Piggy”, as he was lovingly called, attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated from Wilson High School in the Class of 1979. His profession was that of a self employed tire technician. Robert was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina. Left to cherish precious memories are: his wife, Sharron Gordon Green of Florence, SC; two daughters, Shahara Willis (Rahim) and Amber Green, both of Florence, SC; one stepdaughter, Zaida Gordon of Florence, SC; a granddaughter, LuKaylah Sims of Florence, SC; one sister, Starlean Green (Sheldon) of Florence, SC; one brother, Johnny Green of Florence, SC; maternal grandmother, Josephine Seals of Florence, SC; two nieces, Whitney Samuel and Ja’naie Green of Florence, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
