Evans, Etta Lurene

Etta Lurene Evans, 80, wife of the late Harry R. Evans, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at her home after an illness. Mrs. Evans was born on June 11, 1930, in Florence County, a daughter of the late John Gary and Linnie Miles Evans. She was a graduate of Leo High School and a homemaker. Mrs. Evans was a member of Little Star Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are her children: John W. Evans and his wife, Faye of Lake City, Cynthia Williamson and her husband, Rick of Leesville, Dianne Wells of Morriston, Florida, and Chasity Coker and her husband, Kipp of Summerton; grandchildren, Sharon Matthews, Sheila Richardson, Will Evans, Merritt Evans, Travis Felkel, Sonni Wells, Evan Coker and Camryn Coker; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Norman M. Evans, grandson, Rob Pagett and two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Little Star Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 11th, at Little Star Free Will Baptist Church.
