LAKE CITY: Mrs. Dorothy Mae Coker Lamb, 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 in McLeod Hospice House after a long illness. Mrs. Lamb was born in Florence County on January 6th, 1926. She was a daughter of the late Marion Feagin and the late Lettie Jordan Feagin, and was the widow of the late Fred D. Lamb. Mrs. Lamb was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church where she faithfully served the Lord. She was a devoted Christian and homemaker. Mrs. Lamb loved to cook and feed her family. She was a hard-working, strong-willed lady who had a heart of gold. Mrs. Lamb will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Lamb‘s surviving family includes her three children, Ronald Coker (Joanne), of Hebron, Mildred Williamson (James), of Lake City, and Joseph E. Coker, of Lake City; her four grandchildren, Joe D. Coker (Renee), of Pamplico, Derrick Coker (Darlene), of Coward, Brandon Williamson (Stephanie), of Hemingway, and Ashley Coker, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; her five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Skylar, Dillon, Zoie, and Grace Coker; and her sister, Eva Ruth McKenzie, of Barrineau. Mrs. Lamb is preceded in death by her five brothers, Monroe Feagin, Heyward Feagin, Harry Feagin, Pearlin Feagin, and Corbitt Feagin. The family of Mrs. Lamb will have visitation from six until eight o‘clock p.m., Friday, May 6th, 2011 in the funeral home. Funeral services for Mrs. Lamb will be held at eleven o‘clock a.m., Saturday, May 7th, 2011 in the Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral services in the Strickland-Feagin Cemetery in Camp Branch. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
