Allen, Letha

Letha Ann Crews Allen, age 71, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Florida on March 15, 1940 to the late Herman Crews and the late Annie Elizabeth Locklear. Mrs. Allen is survived by two sons, Wayne Allen and Kenneth “Chubby” Allen, Sr., both of Lumberton; a god son, Rodney Stone of Lumberton; a daughter, Elizabeth Angela Rose Locklear of Lumberton; a brother, Junior Mostoe of Lumberton; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces and many special friends and relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delane “Wade” Allen; a daughter, Brenda Gail Koone and a sister, Maxine Gordon. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
