Aynor…..Mr. Edward “Pa” Barnhill, age 79, husband of the late Lena Bell Barnhill, of Edwards Road, passed away April 28, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Barnhill was born April 25, 1932 a son of the late Harvey Charlie and Lillie Tyler Barnhill. Mr. Edward was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, and was a farmer until he joined the Aynor Police Department. He retired from the Horry County Sheriffs Department after twenty five years of service. He enjoyed helping his son Shorty and daughter-in-law Lib at their family track, Low Country Kartway, but his real enjoyment of his life was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are one son, Shorty Barnhill and his wife Lib of Aynor, one brother Frank Barnhill of Aynor, one sister Jenny Graham of Florida, two grandchildren, Melissa Nobles and her husband Victor, Kirsten Taylor and her husband Brent all of Aynor, five great grandchildren, Charlye Richardson and her husband Grant, Layton Nobles, Madison Nobles, Grayson Taylor and Mary Ashlyn Taylor all of Aynor. He was predeceased by one brother, Jack Barnhill. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 2, 2011 at Aynor First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Glenn Johnson and Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating.
