Pierce, Cordelia

Cordelia Pierce, age 75 of Aberdeen died on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born on June 29, 1935 in Hoke Co., NC to the late John Pierce and Mary Jane Perkins Pierce. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Aberdeen. Ms.Pierce is survived by her son, Jimmy Pierce of Aberdeen, NC; three daughters: Jane Simpson of Carthage, NC; Jennie Wilson of Aberdeen, NC; and JoAnn Pierce of Carthage, NC. She is also survived by three brothers: Roy Pierce of Wichita, KS; John Pierce of Arizona; Phil Pierce of Pinehurst; and three sisters: Peggy Lowery of Pinehurst,NC; Connie Oxendine of Red Springs, NC; and Dell Chavis of Red Springs, NC; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy in Aberdeen. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
