Turbeville, Frances Yarborough

Frances Yarborough Turbeville age 81, died April 16, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Linwood Yarborough and Frances Virginia McLendon Yarborough. She was a housewife, a retired CNA, a member of the Olanta Baptist Church and the Group I Circle of the church, a member of The Farm Bureau, and was active in community Senior Programs. Surviving are her husband, Julian Varnell Turbeville of Olanta, two daughters, Virginia (Jerry) Talbert and Lynn (James) Melton both of Olanta, two sons, Julian (Joanna) Turbeville of Florence and Hugh Turbeville of VA, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Linwood Yarborough, and Jefferson Davis Yarborough. Memorials may be made to the Olanta Baptist Church Youth and Childrens Program. Funeral services will be held at 3 o‘clock pm Tuesday April 19, 2011 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
