Baxley, Myles Darlee

Myles Darlee Baxley, Sr., age 82, of St. Pauls, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born June 24, 1928 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Emory and Rotha Mae Baxley. He was a retired veteran, farmer and a dedicated member and deacon of Rozier Baptist Church. He also was a member of The American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Garland, Horace, Elmer and Earl Baxley and a grandson, Seth Pittman. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of sixty years, Martha Stankwytch Baxley; a daughter, Kathy Ivey and husband, Roger of St. Pauls; two sons, Myles Baxley, Jr. of the home and Kenneth Baxley and wife, Vickey of Laurinburg and daughter, Cindy Lindsay and husband, Mikie of Lumberton; a brother, Eugene Baxley of Georgia; six grandchildren, Angela Wilkerson and husband, Brian, Michael Lindsay, Jr., Kelly Ivey, Kristy Lindsay, Katelyn Baxley and her mother, Karen and Chase Pittman and wife, Julie; three great-grandchildren, Harley and Ivey Wilkerson and Adrian Pittman; five little special friends, Emma, Hannah, Bralyn, Alexis and Abigail and a host of relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 3:00PM at Rozier Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Floyd Helms and Rev. Baxter Leigh officiating. Burial will follow at Great Marsh Cemetery in St. Pauls.
