Mrs. Joyce H. McLamb, age 77, of 2421 Tolarsville Road, Lumberton, NC , formerly of Newton Grove, NC died on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Sampson County, NC on July 28, 1933 to James H. Harris and Hermie Edwards Harris. She previously worked as an office manager for Farm Bureau Insurance. Mrs. McLamb is survived by her husband of 58 years, J. D. McLamb; children, James Tony McLamb and wife Margaret, Willis Daniel McLamb and wife Edwina, Gina McLamb Burney and husband Michael, Ruby King and husband Anthony; a sister, Frances Shipp; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Harris and Sally Harris; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Regan United Methodist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Bruce Skipper and Rev. Danny McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton and from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday at Regan United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358 or Regan United Methodist Church, 5630 Regan Church Road, Lumberton, NC 28358.
