Cook, Roy Roger

LAKE CITY: Mr. Roy Roger Cook, 57, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 26th, 2011 in his home after a long illness. Mr. Cook was born in Florence on December 9th, 1953. He was a son of the late Royal Cook and the late Deloris Jordan Cook. Mr. Cook was a fun-loving guy who never met a stranger. He liked to cut up and always have a good time. Mr. Cook loved people and liked to see others happy. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Cook‘s surviving family includes his four daughters, Kimberly McCutcheon (Eddie), of Johnsonville, Amy Cribb (Vernon), of Johnsonville, Jessica Avant, of Coward, and Allison Benson Prim, of Charlotte; his three grandchildren, Chris McCutcheon, Emily Cribb, and Hunter Jacob Cribb, all of Johnsonville; his two brothers, Clifford Cook, of Charlotte, and Donald Cook, of Rock Hill; and his sister, Judy Lynn Cook, of Cheraw. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Oliver. The family of Mr. Cook will have calling hours from six until eight o‘clock p.m., Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 in the funeral home. Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be held at three o‘clock p.m., Wednesday, March 30th, 2011 in the Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral services in the Strickland-Feagin Cemetery.
