Rowe, Ernie Jason

Rev. Ernie Jason Rowe, 65, a Minister of the Church of God, passed away on Friday evening, March 18, 2011. He was born a son of Hazard Rowe and Nellie Roberts Rowe on February 10, 1946, in Hemingway, SC. He was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. Rev. Rowe served in the Church of God for 35+ years as a Minister of Gospel. His ministry began in Alaska as a Youth Minister and continued over the years as a Senior Pastor in New Mexico and South Carolina. He leaves behind one son, Ernie Jason (Cara) Rowe, II; one brother, James (Janet) Rowe; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Jerry Rowe; and one sister, Myrtle Ballard. A Home Going Celebration with Recognition of Ministerial Service will be 4PM Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Freedom Tabernacle with interment in the church cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
