McDuffie, Doris

Doris Rogers McDuffie, 84, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Conway Manor Nursing Center. Born on August 31, 1926 in Greenville, SC she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruby Thompson Rogers. Mrs. McDuffie was a proud member of the Buncombe Street United Methodist Church in Greenville, where she taught kindergarten. She also taught kindergarten at First Baptist Church in Greenville. Survivors include two sons, Ernest McDuffie and his wife Lynn of Myrtle Beach, Roy McDuffie and his wife Amanda of Little River and four grandchildren, Megan, Reid, Hudson and Sawyer McDuffie. She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest McDuffie, brother Walter Rogers and sister, Faye Garrett. Services will be private with the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer‘s Association, 3223 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169. Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
