Jones III, William
William “Bill” Samuel Jones, III, known as Booger Bill of Laurel Hill passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the age of 64. Bill was born December 22, 1946 in Marlboro County, son of the late William S. Jones, the late Maxine Beane McMillian and step son of the late Johnnie Alexander McMillan. He was the founder of the Steel Rebel Motorcycle Club and a retiree from Abbott Laboratories. Bill enjoyed drag racing, doing crossword puzzles and loved riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn “Jacque” Franklin Jones of the home; his children, William Jones and wife Bliss of Laurinburg, Lynn Jones of Laurinburg and Spencer “Wayne” Jones of Laurinburg; step children, Shelia Webb and husband Jamie of Rockingham, David Graham of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Patricia Powell and husband Boyd of Wagram; brother, David Jones of Laurinburg; grandchildren, William Bradley Jones, Tyler Jones, Lyndsie Godwin; step grandchildren, Ashton Webb, Baylee Webb; favorite nieces, Bert and Ashley; his K9 buddies, Frodobaggins, Rosie and Rebel and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17th at Richard Boles Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.
