Schaible, Lawrence

Lawrence MacArthur Schaible, age 35, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 after a long illness. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia on October 15, 1975 to Barbara Webb Schaible and the late Gary Eugene Schaible, and departed this world at Medical University Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Airport High School, West Columbia, SC and attended Midlands Tech, Florence-Darlington Tech and Limestone College. He served two years with City Year Columbia, SC. He worked in the private sector in the Columbia, SC and Austin, TX areas. A resident of McColl, SC he was an active member of First Baptist Church of McColl. Lawrence enjoyed working outside, fishing and playing with his children. He had many friends and was loved by all. Surviving in addition to his mother of Darlington , are his wife, Stephanie Barnett Schaible, his son, Grayson, his daughter, Payton; all of McColl, a sister, Laura Ard, nieces, Kathleen and Christina Ard, nephew, Nathan Hubbard, all of Darlington, a step-brother, Gary K. Schaible and niece, Chantal Schaible of Sparks, NV and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents: Helen and S.M. Webb III, and William and Vonna Schaible. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, March 12, in First Baptist Church of McColl, with burial following at a later date in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the memorial service Saturday. Belk Funeral Home of Darlington is in charge of arrangements.
