Sanford, Mildred Floyd

Mrs. Sanford, 80, died March 6, 2011, in Florence after an extended illness. She was born September 18, 1930 in Robeson County, NC to the late Kemp and Carolyn Collins Floyd . She was predeceased by her parents; husband, James Ben Sellers; sons, Gene Sellers and James B. Sellers; paternal grandparents, Charley and Annie Turner Floyd; and maternal grandparents, Lodrick and Mattie Britt Collins. Mildred was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Sanford was also known as Aunt Billie, Grandmama B.B., and Millie. She married and lived in Marion until moving to Florence in 1960. Loved ones left to cherish her memory are: sons, Dean (Debra) Sellers, and Danny (Beulah) Sellers both of Florence; daughters, Carolyn Faye Knotts of Florence, and Belinda (Larry) Shorts of Simpsonville; sisters, Hattie Mae Faulk of Myrtle Beach, Myrtle (Ervin) Turmire of Chattanooga, TN, and Sarah Margaret (Art) Horne of Myrtle Beach; daughter-in-law, Linda Sellers of Florence; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a very special family member, David Oliver who sacrificed much of his time and loving care. A memorial service for Mildred Floyd Sanford will be 3:00 PM, March 11, 2011, at the Church of God of Prophecy 426 Church St. Florence, SC 29505. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolinas Hospice 121 E. Cedar St, Florence, SC 29506.
