Frazier, Donald Nicander

Donald Nicander Frazier, 81, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Frazier was born April 28, 1929 in Hartford, CT to the late Marion V. Nicander and Norman E. Frazier. He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, CT and attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD and Bridgeport University in CT. He retired as Director of Human Resources for United Technology Automotive Group, Dearborn, MI with 40 years of personnel/human resource experience. Don served on the U.S.S. Cabot in the Mediterranean during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy 1948-1952. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church serving as an usher for over 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #350 and the Pinehurst Country Club. He was also a volunteer for First Health of the Carolinas. His interests included golf, tennis, people, fishing, gardening, landscaping, woodworking, family, music, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Boston Red Sox. Don was a dedicated husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. His love of his family kept him traveling to Montana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, Florida and to many a grandchild‘s sporting event. He loved children and music and was always a comedian. He was an excellent husband and father where love of his family was an inspiration to all. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Jane(Steen); sons Kenneth Scott and wife Sheilah of Billings, MT and Donald Norman and wife Julie of Allentown, PA; daughter Lisa Jane of Billings, MT; grandchildren Erik, Brian, Jared, Laura, and Ryanne. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Pinehurst. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday March 10, 2011 at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst.
