Hunt, James Franklin

James Franklin Hunt, age 81, of Fairmont, NC died on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 9, 1929 to the late Les and Ila Hunt. He previously worked as a foreman for Daniel‘s Construction. Mr. Hunt is survived by three sons, Lesley L. Hunt and wife Benita of Madison, AL, Jimmy Lee Hunt of the home and Tommy Ransom of Fairmont, NC; one daughter, Judy Hunt Scott and husband William of Fairmont, NC; one sister, Myrtle Oxendine of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren, Ryan Hunt, Eric Hunt, Matthew Pack, David Scott and Todd Parnell; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ester Blue Hunt; and a grandson, Lesley Lynn Hunt. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Marvin Hunt and Rev. James Earl Hunt officiating. Entombment will follow in Fair Point Cemetery in Fairmont, NC. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont.
