James “Jim” Tucker Wilson, 84, of Longs, SC, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Jim was born in Alexandria, Virginia on January 7, 1927 to William W. Wilson and Ada Tucker Wilson. He served in World War II as a Navy Seabee in 1944. He retired as an Engineer in 1982 from Bell Telephone of Alexandria, VA after 35 years and then moved to Little River, SC. Jim is survived by his wife, Jackie Wilson of Longs, SC; two brothers, William Wilson, of Woodstock, VA and Robert Wilson and his wife, Denise, of Altamonte Springs, FL; one sister, Ann Zerfass and her husband, Wilson “Bill”, of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sons, James Wilson Jr. of Alexandria, VA and Richard W. Wilson and his wife, Patricia, of Rising Sun, MD; two step-children, Ernest Mullins and Deborah Haney of Longs, SC; four grandchildren, Eli and Katie Wilson of Rising Sun, MD, Frank “Billy” Farrier and his wife, Alicia, of Newport, VA, and Vanessa Yates of King George, VA, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:00 am. In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Building Fund, 1100 8TH Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
