Fleming, John Roger

Mr. John Roger Fleming was born on April 7, 1949 in Pamplico, South Carolina to Robert Fleming and Rebecca Brown Fleming (Woodrow) Graham. He departed this life on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina, after an illness. He attended the public schools of Florence County. He later relocated to Meriden, Connecticut where he met and was joined in holy matrimony to Linda McCall. To this union two children were born, Tommy and Yolanda Fleming. Years later, he moved back home and was joined in holy matrimony to Hattie Louise Timmons and to this union one daughter was born, Latasha. John was a member of Majority Missionary Baptist Church, Florence, SC. Left to cherish precious memories are: his three children, Tommy Fleming, Yolanda Fleming (Shawn) Graham and Latasha R. Fleming; twelve grandchildren, Marcus, Shemar, Christina, Madison, Sasha, Jade T., Quan S., Todrick J. and Travonte’ J. Fleming, Tierra S. F. and Tamira S. F. McCants, and Darius Graham; four great grandchildren, JaKeria E. and Ja’Loceya E. Lacy, Zy’riah S. McCants Lynch and Zy’niya J. McCants Johnson; three sisters, Betty Gean Fleming of Florence, SC; Shirley F. (Herbert) Brown and Wanda Fleming of Pamplico, SC; one brother, Robert, Jr. (Pearline) Fleming of Pamplico, SC; five aunts; two uncles; one god brother, Dr. A. C. Robinson; three god sisters, Linda (Michael) Williams, Lawretta McFadden and Rose (Bob) Feldbruegge; four sisters-in-law; 17 nieces and nephews; three special friends, Valerie Deas, Evelyn Mouzon and Eunice McCall; and a host of cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lou Fleming Johnson, Stephanie Fleming; and one brother, David Graham.
