Daniels, Benny Chester

Mr. Benny Chester Daniels, son of Lela and stepfather, McKenley Peoples was born in Florence County on September 25, 1942. He was adopted and raised by Rosa Lee and Mann Daniels. Benny was educated within the public schools of Florence County and graduated from Johnson High School, Timmonsville, SC. Benny was united in holy matrimony to Miss Shirley Benjamin. To this union of forty-eight years, three children were born, Bennie, Jr., Shirelena, and Michelle. Benny’s work history included employment with Vulcraft and Wallace Skins. His hobbies included fishing, cutting grass on his riding lawn mower, and spending time with family and friends. Our Heavenly Father came for our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, family member, and friend on Monday, February 21, 2011 after an illness. Benny enjoyed marinating on the word of God. He exhibited such a wonderful and sweet spirit. He was often known for his jokes that could turn any one’s frown upside down. His presence was known to set an everlasting impression. He regularly visited the sick and believed in the value of being good company. He became a faithful member of Savannah Grove Baptist Church and was active on the male choir, also known as the “Sons of Thunder.” Before Benny’s passing the doctor asked him during his hospital stay if he was going to leave his family in grief. Benny responded in his charismatic voice, “No, I’m going to leave them JOY, HAPPINESS, AND PEACE.” The unconditional love and precious memories for Benny will remain cherished by his family: Shirley B.
