Eric “Jason” Walters, age 38 of Laurinburg passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011. Jason was born April 27, 1972 in Scotland County, son of the late Edward “Buddy” Walters, III and Sharon Britt Walters. He was devoted to his family, a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was a dedicated employee of the Service Thread Company. Jason attended the McColl Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church. He was also an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed fishing. Jason leaves behind his wife, Stephanie “Tara” Kersey Walters and his children, Jacob Walters, Norrah Walters and Landen Walters all of the home; a brother, Brian Britt of Tennessee; sister, Amy Cooper and husband David of Laurinburg and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22nd at Richard Boles Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the McColl Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Glenn Vollrath. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
