Martin Sr, Gerald Bennett

Gerald Bennett Martin, Sr., age 74, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on May 9, 1936 to the late Bennett Martin and Alice Atkinson Martin. He previously worked as a deputy for the Robeson County Sheriffs Department. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Paula B. Martin of the home; his son, Gerald B. Martin, Jr. and wife, Joy of Lumberton and two grandchildren, Skylar John Martin and Landon Brandt Martin. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Jeff Mitchell and Rev. Johnny Bruce officiating. Burial will be private. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, February 15, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
