Stanford Tyler, age 77, of Lumberton, NC died at his home on Friday, February 11, 2011. He was born in Robeson County, NC on November 11, 1933 to Eddie and Armetha Jacobs Tyler. He previously worked in housing construction as a carpenter. Mr. Tyler is survived by his sons, Allen Paul Mills of Fairmont, NC; Anthony Lee Tyler of Fairmont, NC; Joey Tyler of Fairmont, NC and Billy Dean Tyler of Lumberton, NC; daughters, Lorie Ann Tyler of Parkton, NC, Mary E. Tyler of Fairmont, NC, Jacqueline Tyler of Lumberton, NC and Betty Lois Hunt of Rowland, NC; brother, Roy R. Tyler of Lumberton, NC; sister: Matha Strickland of Lumberton, NC; six (6)grandchildren and eleven (11) great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service and burial are private.
