Flanagan, May

Mrs. May E. Flanagan, 86, of Pinehurst, NC; died February 10, 2011 following a long illness. She was the daughter of William and Emma Struss of Philadelphia, PA. During her years in Philadelphia she held the position of Administrator for Dr. William T. Lemmon, Chief of Surgery, and his staff at the Jefferson Hospital also the Woodbury Hospital in New Jersey. Upon relocating to Los Angles, CA with her husband, she became active with various non-profit organizations. She was a member of the advisory board for the Los Angles Orthopedic Hospital that assists children. May was board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood, CA. In addition, she held the position of Treasure for the California Women‘s Assistance League of Los Angles for over twelve years. She was an active member of the Wilshire Country Club of Los Angles. During her years in Pinehurst, NC; she was active with the monthly Women‘s Group at Pinehurst Country Club. May is survived by her husband, Thomas of fifty three years.
