Epps, Faye Ann
Faye Ann Jacobs Epps of Maxton passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the age of 82. Faye was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina on September 28, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Lockey Jacobs and the devoted wife to the late Lucious William Epps. She was a homemaker, dedicating her life to loving and caring for others. She served as a lifelong member of the Union Light Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Epps leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Lacy Epps of Maxton, Allen Epps, Johnny Epps, Tommy Epps, Lloyd Epps all of the home; her daughters, Christine Watts and husband Gene of Maxton, Susan Radford and husband Wayne of Maxton; brothers, Charles Jacobs of Vass, J.C. Jacobs of Bennettsville, SC; sisters, Avis Atkinson of Southern Pines, Janice Brigman of Sanford, Ann Bell of Charlotte; nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Rosie Duncan, Gordan Jacobs, Harmon Jacobs, Junior Jacobs, Betty Hardwood and Mary Frances Jacobs. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Union Light Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Romey Revels. Burial will follow the service in the Epps Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31st at the Union Light Baptist Church in Maxton.
