Bullock, Mildred Elizabeth

Mildred Elizabeth Lovette Bullock, age 89, of Lumberton, NC died at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton on Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was born in Robeson County, NC on December 13, 1921 to the late Richard Ambrose Lovette and Elizabeth Ann Thorndyke Lovette. She previously worked as a bookkeeper at Pepsi Cola and Lumberton Tobacco Market. She was a lifetime member of West Lumberton Baptist Church and was very active in the life of the church. Mrs. Bullock is survived by two sons, David Bullock and wife Coleen of Lumberton, NC and Johnny Bullock, Jr. and wife Mary of Fairmont, NC; a daughter, Brenda Cox and husband Walter of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John “J.T.” Bullock; three brothers, Gilbert Lovette, Len Lovette and Norris Lovette; and a sister, Lena Chance. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 3:00 PM at West Lumberton Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Grant and Dr. Lynn Bullock officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
