Taylor, Wilson Junior

Wilson Junior Taylor, 87, a beloved father and the widower of Katie Rumell Mobley Taylor, took his Heavenly journey and joined his waiting loved ones on January 22, 2011, at the Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mr. Taylor was born a son of John Wesley Taylor and Martha Howard Taylor on April 8, 1923, in Andrews. He was a United States Army Medical Corps Veteran during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of the Bloomingvale Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon several times over the years. Junior and Rumell were married August 20, 1955, and they celebrated 55 years together. From their blessed union survives: one daughter, Arleen T. (Levi) Anderson, and one grandson, Kristopher M. Anderson. Also surviving is a large extended family including a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife; one brother, Daniel Taylor; three sisters, Cleo T. Tisdale, Carrie T. Browder, and Dorothy Taylor. Home-Going Celebration with Military Recognition Ceremony will be 2 PM, Tuesday, January 25, 2011, in the Bloomingvale Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
