Hyman Jr, David Pearly

David Pearly Hyman, Jr., 57, the widower of Nellie Matthews Hyman, went home to be with the Lord and join his loved ones on Monday morning, January 24, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Hyman was a son of David Pearly Hyman and Ruby Louise Taylor Dewitt- Hyman born August 15, 1953 in Pamplico. He was a mechanical maintenance associate at Delta Mills; was the owner and operator of David Hyman Lawn Care; was a member of the local chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association; and was a faithful member of the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith. He leaves behind: two children, David R. “Robbie” Hyman and Tressi H. (John) Kibe; two stepsons, Willard N. Haselden and Micheal Casselman; six grandchildren, Jemar Kibe, Taesha Kibe, Mordecai Kibe, Naomi Kibe, Derek Harrington, and Hailey Casselman; four brothers, Jerry L. (Mildred) Dewitt, Otis L. (Tina) Dewitt, Curtis E. (Lois) Dewitt, and Albert Hyman; three sisters, Sarah D. (Steve) Barnhart-Rowe, Shirley H. (Marion Thomas) Kennedy and Donna H. (Clarmen) Cook; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife; three brothers, Howard L. Dewitt, EW Dewitt, and Herman Hyman; and one sister, Addie D. Thornton. A Home Going Celebration Service will be 2 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011, at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith with interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Friday evening, January 28, 2011, at the Church. Memorials may be made to Kenya Mission Project, C/O Rev. John and Tressi Kibe, 1105 Possum Fork Rd. Johnsonville, SC 29555.
