Pridgen, Addie Mae

Mrs. Pridgen died Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born in Chesterfield Co., SC, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Jane Kissiah Shoemake. She was a member of the First Church of God. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Lyndal (Janice) Pridgen of Hartsville, SC; brother, John E. Shoemake; step grandchildren, Paul Speight, Johnny Speight; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Marion Howard “Bo”; sisters, Mary Shoemake Haire, Laurine Shoemake Hopkins, Louise Shoemake, Pearl Shoemake, Lucille Shoemake, Martha Shoemake, and Lila Shoemake; brothers, George P. Shoemake, Willie F. Shoemake, and Harvey Shoemake. Special thanks to Agape of Hartsville for the love and care they gave to Addie Mae. Funeral services for Addie Mae Shoemake Pridgen, 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at the First Church of God. Rev. Steve Hartsell, Rev. Kitral Benton, and Rev. Ed Griggs will officiate with burial in Westview Memorial Park Cemetery. The First Church of God Men‘s Brotherhood will serve as honorary pall bearers. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
