Furman Locklear, age 79, of Hermitage Assisted Living of Lumberton NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Hermitage Assisted Living of Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County on April 13, 1931 to John L. Locklear and Maggie Clark Locklear. Mr. Locklear is survived by one son, Tim Locklear and his wife Jeannie of Lumberton and three grandchildren, Matthew, Cheryl, and Brittany. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Chapel in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Sr. officiating. A Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, January 13, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
