Remais, D Robert

D. Robert Remais, 89, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Born on April 1, 1921 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John and Dorathea Dinga Remais. Mr. Remais resided in upstate New York for many years, living in Johnstown, Lake George and Jamestown. He received his Bachelor‘s Degree from New York State University at Fredonia and his Master‘s Degree at Butler University, Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Remais was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and served in the European Theater of Operation. He was a talented musician and a faithful choir member at King of Glory Lutheran Church in North Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an avid golfer. He retired as a Vice President for Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo after 32 years of service. Mr. Remais is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Hedin Remais of Little River and a niece, Bonnie Bryne of Clayton, NY. He is predeceased by his brother, George Remais. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at King of Glory Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church, 805 11th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
