Whispering Pines, NC- Simeon Coulson Hunt, age 78, died Sunday, January 09, 2011 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He is survived by his loving wife, Gracie Ann Hearn Hunt, step children, Laura Ferguson of Whispering Pines, Art Ferguson and wife Donna of Lexington, Jess Ferguson and wife Angie of Augusta, Ga., step grandchildren, Sgt. Anthony Ferguson and wife Amy of Camp Lejeune, NC, Shannon Felton and husband, Kevin of Chesapeake, VA, Matthew Hall of Lexington, Ariel and Alyssa Ferguson of Whispering Pines, Trevor and Brandon Ferguson of Augusta, Ga., Four great grandchildren, a niece Lee Browning and nephews, Cary, Steve, and David all of FL., and aunt, Virginia Frye of Fayetteville, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cary Hunt Sr. and Ethel Wicker Hunt, and a brother John Cary Hunt, Jr. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Southern Pines by Rev. Don Ballenger and Rev. Edward Boyce. Burial will follow at Beulah Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 Pm before the service.
