Lane, James Michael

James Michael Lane, age 57, of Little River, SC, formerly of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. He was born in Robeson County on December 1, 1953 to the late J. D. Lane and Evelyn Bass Lane. Mr. Lane is survived by his son, Nick Lane and his wife, Brandi of Pinehurst, NC; his son-in-law, Carroll Connor of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Larry Lane of Wilson, NC and Kenny Lane of Morganton, NC and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Lane Connor and his brother, David Lane. A Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2:00PM at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Shawn Dobbs, Rev. Dennis Harrell and Rev. Mike Pittman. A Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, January 1, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
