Pulver, Robert
Robert (Bob) Clifford Pulver, passed away December 21, 2010 after a brief illness at UNC Chapel Hill with his family at his side. After serving his country in the Army Signal Corps during WW 11, he returned home to work for AT&T where he retired after 30 years of service. After retirement Bob moved to Sanford and became involved in many things. He was a long time member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church, and played the violin with the Lee County Orchestra for several years. He held several positions on the Hidden Lake Property Owners Assoc. He was also a Mason and was a Volunteer with the Carolina Trace Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife Jane whom he was married to for 67 years. His son Daniel and wife Mary Eleanor of Rocky Mount NC, his daughter Joanne and husband Richard, of Mt Airy, Md. 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Jonesboro United Methodist Church in Sanford with Rev. Hunter Preston and Rev. Raymond Atkins officiating. The internment will be held following the service at 12:00 noon at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Jonesboro United Methodist Church, music fund or discretionary fund.
