McMillan, Rodger Wayne
Mullins- Rodger Wayne McMillan, 62, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home. He was born in Marion County, a son of the late Duncan Edward Jr. and Flora Snipes McMillan. He was a member of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and numerous other awards for his service to his country. He also retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation after thirty years. Mr. McMillan was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 6122, the American Legion Post 89, Damascus Lodge 161 where he was a Past Master Mason, and the Purple Heart Association of Florence, S.C. He is survived by his wife, Judy Blanton McMillan of Mullins; one brother, Phillip McMillan and his wife Mary Frances of Mullins, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services with military and Masonic rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at Mullins First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at McMillan Cemetery in Mullins.
