Fred Deaton Williams, age 70 passed away Tuesday December 7, 2010 at Serenity Place in Dublin, Georgia. Mr. Williams was born February 14, 1940 in Moore County, North Carolina; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late James L. and Estella Williams, 2 brothers, James Lucian Williams, Sr. and Arthur R. Williams, brother-in-law, Walter Wilson Monroe and 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams and Vivian Williams. He was a member of Bensalem Presbyterian Church and was retired from J.P. Stevens and Company. Funeral services for Fred Deaton Williams will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Bensalem Presbyterian Church in Eagle Springs with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Wess Brandon and Rev. Dwight Williams will officiate. He is survived by his friend/companion, Annette Griner of Enigma, GA; a son Kenneth D. Williams of Oak Island, NC, a daughter, Barbara (Chip) Jackson of Dublin, GA; 5 grandchildren, Kelli (Chad) McCary, Luke (Holli) Williams, Bryan Jackson, Jason (Tana) Williams, Candi (Eric) Williams Fletcher, 8 great-grandchildren, Megan McCary, Macie McCary, Owen Fletcher, Jaxon Fletcher, Payton Williams, Xander Williams, Kayleigh Hartley and Kaydence Williams, brothers and sisters, Roy Colon (Virginia) Williams, Sr., Foster Lee Williams, Clinton Ray (Geraldine) Williams, and Viola Ethel Monroe all of Eagle Springs, NC, Harold (Nellie) Williams and Winford (Ruby Ann) Williams all of Aberdeen, NC, Treva (Edgar) Smith of Piedmont, SC, and Liz (Joe) Pusser of West End, NC and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Bruton Williams of Candor, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday December 10, 2010 at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes. Pallbearers will be Art Williams, Ted Monroe, Alan Williams, David Williams, Joel Williams, and Mark Smith. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions, in memory of Mr. Williams, be made to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, Georgia 31021 Arrangements by Boles Funeral Home of Seven Lakes.
