Richard “R.C.” Craft, Jr. went to meet Jesus on December 5, 2010 and visit with his wife, Ruby Inez, and family in Heaven- waiting for him in with open arms. Born in Kershaw County, R.C. is a son of the late Richard C. Craft and the late Carrie Reynolds Craft. Mr. Craft was a farmer in the Mechanicsville community for many years and a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a “small town southern man.” Surviving are his son, Daniel Craft (Alexis) and two daughters Phyllis Hoover (John, his son in Heaven) and Brenda Craft Watford (Dale Fiske). Grandchildren – Teressia Savage (Don), John Hoover, Jr. (Paige), Jamie Hoover (Jennifer), Christopher Hoover, Wilene P. Hoover, Jason Watford Sr. (Amanda), Dena Sabinske (Jim), Danielle Cullpepper (Curtis); great grandchildren: Matthew, Jason Jr., John Robert, Sally, Grace, Meredith, Christin, Jenny, Rachael, Megan Richie, Sierra, Hilary, Connor, Anna, Jack : great-great-grandchildren: Miranda, John. He was preceded in death by brothers: Jasper, Woodrow and Eddie and sisters; Sara O‘Neal, Carrie Jackson, Minnie Lou Kelly and Rosa Lee Craft. Funeral services will be held at Mechanicsville Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery.
