Aynor… Mr. Henry Alfred Johnson 92, of Valley Forge Rd. passed away, December 2, 2010, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Mr. Johnson was born May 4, 1918, the son of the late Andy and Agnes Johnson. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Madgie J. Johnson, one son Joseph W. Johnson, two brothers, Ben Johnson, and George Johnson, two sisters, Minnie Clark and Alma Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Johnson was known for his kind, gentle nature and his “railroad” hats. Surviving are three sons, Henry Alfred Johnson and his wife Joyce of Aynor S.C., James Edward Johnson and his wife Josephine of Mullins, and Junior Andy Johnson and his wife Vicky of Aynor S.C., two daughters Rachel Mills and her husband Johnnie of Aynor S.C., and Martha Ann Wright and her husband Winford Hendersonville, N.C., eleven grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. Mr. Johnson‘s family would like to thank his special caregivers Angela, Patti, Juan of Regency Hospice for their special care. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday December 5, 2010, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dock Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Saturday December 4, 2010 at the funeral home.
