Haggans, Jerry James

Jerry was born in Dillon County, South Carolina on March 12, 1954. He was the son of Allie Mae Brayboy Haggans and the late Prathan Haggans. After finishing school Mr. Haggans enter the United States Army and served his country proudly. He worked with Ray Roofing of Jerry James Haggans of Maxton, NC passed away on Friday November 26, 2010 at the aged of 56. Charlotte as a supervisor for many years. Mr. Haggans was a member of Little Zion FWB, he was a avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family watching movies, he also enjoyed cooking. Mr. Haggans is survived by his devoted wife Roselle Hunt Haggans of the home, his sons, Gary Haggans and wife Keisha, Michael Haggans and wife Ashley and James Haggans and fiance‘ Amanda Hatcher all of Maxton; a daughter Brandy Locklear and husband Bobby Jr. of Laurinburg and his mother Allie Mae Brayboy Haggans of Laurinburg, brothers Larry Haggans of Pembroke and Charles Haggans of Maxton; sisters Carolyn Oxendine, Magnolia Gist, Barbara Lowry, Eula Haggans and Martha Locklear all of Maxton, Odessa Jones of Prospect and Linda Bowman of Laurinburg; and thirteen grandchildren. In addition to his father Mr. Haggans was preceded in death by a brother Danny Ray Haggans and a sister Helen H. Oxendine. Funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. on Tuesday November 30, 2010 at Little Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Maxton officiated by Elder Eugene Chavis and Elder Tracy Locklear. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00pm on Monday Nov. 29th at Richard Boles Funeral Service, Laurinburg.
