Tyner, Lorena Benton

Lorena Benton Tyner of Laurel Hill passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the age of 89. Mrs. Tyner was born in Dillon County, South Carolina on December 15, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bessie Young Benton and the beloved wife of the late Willie Tyner. She worked in textiles retiring from Springs Mills after many years of service. She enjoyed attending the Laurel Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Tyner love quilting and traveling but especially loved being with her family. She leaves behind her children, Bill Tyner of Laurel Hill and Delores T. Baxley and husband William of Laurinburg; a sister, Elneta Grooms of Laurel Hill; five grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Hillside Cemetery officiated by Pastor Don Malpass. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
