Setzer, Rebecca Jane

Rebecca Jane Dowdy Setzer, age 79 of Sanford passed away at her home on Monday, November 8, 2010. She was born on November 5, 1931 in Lee County to the late Ernest Paul Dowdy and Claire Lee Dowdy. She was a member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Sanford. Mrs.Setzer loved and cherished her family. She is survived by her daughter, Hope Wilson-Frye and husband Jeff of Sanford and two sons: Paul Lee Setzer and wife Pat of Sanford, NC and Mike Setzer and wife Debi of Sanford, NC. She is also survived by three sisters: Mary Bailes of Sanford, NC, Sally Haire of Thomasville, NC, and Virginia Ellis of Sanford, NC. Five grandchildren: Chase Setzer, Blake Wilson, Carson Wilson, Reese Setzer, Quinn Setzer; two great-grandchildren: Perry Setzer and Carson Setzer. Four step-grandchildren: Randall Douglas, Rhonda Gebbia, Dillon Frye, and Grant Frye. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Buffalo Presbyterian Church with Rev. Paul Shields officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
