Florence Geraldine Lavery, 94, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at Quail Haven in Pinehurst. No services are planned at this time. Interment will be at Ridgelawn-Mount Mercy Cemetery in Gary, IN. She was born August 8, 1916 in Gary, IN to the late George O. Foley and Blanche Sark Foley. She and her husband Bernard retired to the Moore County area in the 1980s. She is survived by sons Bernard Lee Lavery and wife Judith of Bluffton, SC and Barry Lavery and wife Katina of Pittsburgh, PA; brother George E. Foley and wife Sally of Pompano Beach, FL; grandchildren Bud Reiter-Lavery of Durham, Kristin Lavery of Greenville, SC, Sarah Haubrich of Parker, CO, Kerri Lavery of Murrysville, PA and Maggie Lavery of Pittsburgh, PA; great-grandchildren Kathrine Reiter-Lavery, Theresa Reiter-Lavery, Rachel Haubrich, Jenna Joyce and Jessa Joyce. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bernard Lyle Lavery and a brother Robert K. Foley. Memorial contributions may be made to First Health Hospice, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst, NC 28374.
