Ivey, Richard

Richard “Rick” C. Ivey, age 52, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 1, 1958 to Francis Clayton Ivey and Margaret Johnson Ivey. He worked as an automotive salesman. Mr. Ivey is survived by his mother, Margaret Ivey of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Lawrence Oliver, Jr. and wife, Janet of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Melonie M. Ivey of Raleigh, NC; and one nephew, Matthew Corey Oliver of Lumberton, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Clayton Ivey. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Charles Brust officiating. Visitation will follow the service at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. A Graveside Service will be on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Stone-Ivey Family Cemetery in Proctorville, NC with Rev. Charles Brust and Rev. Jeff Broadwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Hospice, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358 or Robeson County Humane Society, 3108 W. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
