Eula Mae Dunn Bennett of Laurinburg departed this life on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the age of 92. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Hedrick Jones and Rev. Kenny Duke. Burial will follow in the Gibson Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was born May 24, 1918 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Henry Fairley Dunn and Dora Chavis Dunn. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack Bennett, Sr. She loved the Lord and served as a longtime faithful member of the Laurinburg Church of God of Prophecy. She was a devoted homemaker and textile worker with both Springs Mills and Morgan Mills. Eula was a delightful lady with a heart of gold that enjoyed sharing her hugs with everyone. She will be remembered as a precious and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jack Bennett, Jr. and Bill Bennett; grandson, Jimmy Ray Bennett, Jr. and brother, Brooks Dunn. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Jimmy Ray Bennett, Sr. and wife Shauna of Laurinburg; a sister, Mary Huckabee of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, James E. Bennett, Jackie Kay Bennett, Dieter Bennett all of Laurinburg, Michael Fitzgerald Bennett of Greenwood, SC, Richard Bennett of Laurinburg, Tammy Leigh of Petersburg, FL, Terri Locklear and Cristy Locklear both of Maxton; thirteen great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
