Veronica Finkley-Sessoms

ERONICA (PEACHES) FINKLEY-SESSOMS, (44) of Charleston, SC received her call from Heaven to join her Savior on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 and again she answered, “yes Lord”. She was born the daughter of Mr. James “Harold” and Mrs. Vonnie Godbolt-Finkley on July 02, 1966 in Conway, SC. “Peaches” as she was affectionately known, graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1984 and enlisted in the United States Navy. She was honorably discharged (medical) after eleven (11) years as a 2nd Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church. Her joy and service to God and the Church began then as a musician for many years. While stationed at Charleston Naval Base, she became a member of the Tree Of Life Ministry where she served faithfully. She leaves to cherish fond memories her parents, Mrs. Vonnie Godbolt-Finkley and Mr. James Harold Finkley of Myrtle Beach, SC; two (2) sons, Terel Trimble of Korea and Tevin Sessoms of Charleston, SC; three (3) sisters, Sybil Finkley, Brenda Sinclair and Harriet Mines; seven (7) brothers, Harold Finkley (Patricia), Albert Dennison (Shirley), James Finkley (Ronnie), James Chestnut (Allison), Minister Michael Vereen (Wanda), Romel Finkley and Alfred Dennison; five (5) aunts, Mrs. Mildred Knox (Charles) of Nassau, NY, Mrs. Bonnie Brown, Syracuse, NY, Mrs. Ruby Finkley, Myrtle Beach, SC, Mrs. Geraldine Dawson, Bronx, NY, Mrs. Lena Godbolt, Conway, SC; two (2) great-aunts, Mrs. Mary Godbolt, Conway, SC and Mrs. Retha M. Goldbolt, Fayetteville, NC; one (1) uncle, Mr. Archie Godbolt, Jr of Conway, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2010 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Godbolt officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Island Community Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home of Horry County.
