CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE PEE DEE FUNDRAISER “Making a Difference One Person at a Time” Myrtle Beach – Catholic Charities of the Pee Dee will be hosting “Making a Difference One Person at a Time” on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Greek Church Fellowship Hall, 3301 33rd Avenue North, in Myrtle Beach. The Social Hour will begin at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. Dinner, and 7:30 p.m. Auction. Admission is a donation of $35.00 per person which includes a sit down dinner, beverages, beer, wine, soft drinks, and entertainment by D.J. Marino. Proceeds from “Making a Difference One Person at a Time” will benefit the poor and elderly of our community. The Guest Speaker for the evening is The Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone who was ordained and installed as the 13th Bishop of Charleston on March 25, 2009. “Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Charleston works directly and in collaboration with parish communities and other organizations to serve the needy in South Carolina and is committed to social ministry as an essential element of our faith. In order to accomplish its goals, Catholic Charities works through the provision of direct services, consultation, education, and advocacy. I ask for your support of our mission, especially our mission to the senior citizens and the poor of the Pee Dee of South Carolina. As a community, we can accomplish the great work of serving the least of the people who live and walk among us as brothers and sisters in Christ.” Area businesses, hotels, restaurants, etc. have donated various items to the auction in support of this organization and their work to assist the poor and elderly with food, clothing, and shelter. Catholic Charities helps all people whether or not they are catholic. “Making a Difference One Person at a Time” hosted by Catholic Charities of the Pee Dee will be a wonderful evening of fun for all to enjoy. Join us in coming together as a community to support the works of Catholic Charities, to be enlightened by our Guest Speaker, Bishop Robert Guglielmone, and to help raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
