David O. Stalvey, Jr.

July 31, 1959 – October 22, 2010 David Odell Stalvey, Jr., age 51, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Stalvey was born July 31, 1959 in Loris a son of David Odell “Olean” Stalvey, Sr. and the late Brookie Mae Watts Stalvey. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Waccamaw Baptist Church. Survivors include his father, David Odell “Olean” Stalvey, Sr. and his special friend Joyce Williamson of Longs, one son, David Odell Stalvey, III of Loris; one sister, Reponsa Stalvey of Loris; one brother, Delane Stalvey and his wife Christa of Longs; two nieces, Shenea Stalvey and Brittany Stalvey; and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 7-9 pm at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 25, 2010 at Waccamaw Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Whitner, Rev. Lindsey Inman, and Mr. Jack Stalvey officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Grainger Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Waccamaw Baptist Church, 7160 Highway 905, Conway, SC 29526.
