Bill Odom

1/27/1958 – 10/22/2010 Willie Marion “Bill” Odom, age 52, died Friday, October 22, 2010 in a local hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 on Sunday, October 24 at Northgate Baptist Church. Born in Darlington County on January 27, 1958, he is the son of the late Raleigh M. Odom and the late Dorothy Geraldine Gainey O. Gill. Bill worked as a mechanic at Dixie Cup for over 25 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Northgate Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Surviving are his wife, Jessie Stengel Odom, a daughter, Abbra Odom, a brother, Gerald “Pete” Odom, all of Darlington, a sister, Carol (Del) O. Bigelow of Florence, many nieces, nephews and other family, special cousins, Jimmy (Cindy) Jolly and Randy (Karla) Odom. Also, his church family at Northgate Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Georgia Lee Thompson and Marion S. Gainey and Paternal grandparents, Essie S. Odom and Willie G. Odom
