Louise S. Locklear
Mrs. Louise Sanderson Locklear, 90, of Sarah’s Family Care, formerly of Normal Street, Pembroke died, Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was born October 14, 1920 to the late Mr. James & Mrs. Martha Hunt Sanderson. She was also preceded in death by husband: Mr. Claudie Locklear and two sons: Mr. Denver Locklear and infant Locklear. She was a member of Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a school teacher for 30 years. She loved to quilt and volunteer for different programs in the communities. The funeral will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Stevie Jacobs and Bro. David Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Church Cemetery. Surviving are two sons: Mr. James William (Patricia) Locklear of Rowland and Mr. Ronald Hilbert Locklear of Maxton; two sisters: Mrs. Susan Frances (Robert) Waites of Shelby Township, MI and Mrs. Lee Ellen (Bob) Lowry of Pelzer, SC; two brothers: Mr. David (Betty) Sanderson of Pembroke and Mr. Adolphus (Sandy) Sanderson of Rowland; grandchildren: Ms. Jennifer Kaye Locklear, Mr. James Christopher Locklear, Mr. Jamie (Michelle) Locklear, Mrs. Deneen (James) Blackman all of Maxton and Mr. Ronald Eric (Lynn) Locklear of Gilmer, TX; nine great-grandchildren: Christina Locklear, Taylor Locklear, Logan Locklear, Alex Locklear, Garrett Locklear, Brenda Locklear; Emily Merrith, Amberly Locklear and Bethany Blackman; three great-great-grandchildren: Chrishonna Huggins, Brendon Locklear and Jylin Jacobs; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church.
