Linda Brown

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2 Ms. Linda Brown was born on September 14, 1958 in Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of Eddie Mae Muldrow Brown and the late Roosevelt Brown, Sr. On Thursday, September 30, 2010, she entered into eternal rest at Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, after an illness. She attended Bay Ridge High School and furthered her education at Howard University. She started her career at Morgan Bank and continued on to Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy where she worked for over 20 years until her demise. At an early age, she found Christ and joined Saint Paul Community Baptist Church at 12 years old where she served faithfully. Later she joined Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the choir. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend. She loved God, her family, friends and life. She was a hard worker and loved to travel. Her love for traveling prompted her to obtain a Certification as a Flight Attendant. Her love for traveling also took her to Paris, Puerto Rico, Canada, California, Las Vegas, Niagara Falls and Florida. Linda was a fun loving person. She adored her three nieces, they were very close. She loved them like they were her own daughters. She would travel to Florida to visit them during summer and Christmas vacations every year. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her loving memory: her loving and devoted mother, Eddie Mae Brown of Effingham, SC; one brother, Roosevelt Brown, Jr.; one sister, Debra Solomon-White; three nieces, Micaelya Solomon, Avana Solomon and Nicole White; one brother-in-law, Marlon White; and a host of other relatives and friends.
